Hi

My brother has a car subwoofer and i really want a 2.1 system for my pc!
so i found some videos of people using a PSU and hooking it up?
is this possible?
my mobo is Gigabyte Z87-HD3
and i am willing to buy or reuse a pc PSU (i have a old dead pc and i think the PSU still works!)
my 2 speakers are normal Bush pc speakers! with just one 3.5mm stereo jack!

thanks
Gershy

Does the sub have a amp on it already? Is it setup with crossovers, etc? Honestly, I would just buy a 2.1 system. Running a whole different PSU just to power a sub is a lot of power, and in reality, unless the sub and speakers are balanced properly, it's going to sound off balance. Also, if it does use crossovers, what are the ohms of the speakers vs the sub. A lot of things can go wrong.

yes the sub has an amp and i do not know if it has crossovers??
and i do not want to buy a 2.1 because i have the sub and the psu!
and power doesnt really matter too much

i dont know the ohms
