The other day i started a build using some parts I had spare from other projects. Today I turned the pc on, but it wouldn't post. The lights and fans all turned on , but that was it.

WHEN I INSTALLED THE CPU I FOUND THAT SOME PINS WERE BENT, BUT I STRAIGHTENED THEM (I THINK IT'S THE CPU'S FAULT!)

Solution
It would likely be far cheaper just to buy a replacement processor. They will just do all the same checks as in the checklist above, and then charge you for their time.

If a CPU is dead, it's dead - there's no resurrecting it

If the pins on the Cpu were bent your Cpu is most likely not going to work even if u bent them back into place. I would recommend getting a new Cpu for your build. It may also have something to do with the fact that you are using a pre-used cpu. I would also check to make sure your power connectors are completely in. I hope this will help, btw what cpu are you using?

Do you think if I took it to a pc repair shop they would be able to do anything??
