You have already selected a great mobo. This is obviously my recommended mobo as well. No need to change the gigabyte UD3P. Stick with it.

Yes, good mobo. One of the best 970 mobo's you can get for an fx chip

I am concerned with the no of fans I can mount on this MoBo...Any suggestions on that? I do not plan to overclock my CPU, but the GPU is quite power hungry and it gets quite hot here in India on summer...

Needless worry when there is a solution. Check this Y Cable Splitter, You can effectively mount two fans on one fan header:

If you are not overclocking the you would be fine. Make sure to have a good air flow in the Case.

Definitely the only 970 board I would probably get....isn't that one like the only one that is 8+2 phase? At least you can feel much safer Ocing on that one if you want...

Is the MSI 970 Gaming Series 8+2? I'm assuming it is? its a little more like $100...

Yeah, I think currently that's the only 970 board with an 8+2 phase

The MSI gaming 970 just launched recently and according to this report it has an 8 phase vrm
http://

I guess they just trying to make up for their poor past 970 boards which where prone to vrm failure. MSI just haven't got it right with their AMD boards so hopefully this one's good
