Does 32bit/64bit has anything to do with Mobo max memory?

Hi

I'm assembling a pc, but I was wondering where to see if its a 32 or 64 bit system.
Because when i select 8 GB DDR3 Ram it gives me this warning:

"You have four or more GB of RAM selected in your configuration. Please note that this amount of memory, only with 64-bit systems are fully utilized."

But when I check the mobo then the only thing i can think of that has anything to do with that is the maximum memory which is 16gb.

Any help is appreciated.

It has to do with what os version make sure you get a 64bit version of windows or it will only use 4 GB out of the 8

So I need to install W7 64bit. Then what does the maximum memory from mobo does? I'm new to pc modding

Windows 32 bit can only utilize about 4 gigs of ram. Since you have 8 gigs of ram, go with 64 bit or waste half of your ram.

Max means that's the max limit you can install. If you game don't use more then 8gb in 2 4gb sticks. Never use just one, never mix ram brands and speeds. Make sure you buy the kit you want now because adding down the road from another memory kit can cause a lot of instability

For sure. That's what I'm building ATM. i5 is great for midrange gaming and 8 gigs of ram is the sweet spot for almost everything.

now a different question, I have no other graph card then the buildin one from the mobo. Whats the max watt i should go for the PSU?

Go with a 650 so you have room for upgrades.

XFX Pro series are a really good choice for PSU - also Corsair (AX, TX, RM series), Seasonic, among many others

Its a pc for my dad and my stephbrother, so noheavy games will be played on it. So I might just go with a 550 one then, or not?

If you're defo not gonna install a heavy (ie power-hungry) CPU in future, go for the 450W XFX Pro:

(this may not be the cheapest place you can buy it...)

This will still be ok for something like a Geforce GTX750 though.... so you're not excluding the possibility of getting a discrete GPU in future
