Cloned SSD to new laptop?

So i bought a windows 8.1 asus laptop that turned out to be a lemon. Prior to finding this out i cloned the hdd to the ssd and was using the laptop for several days with my newly installed ssd. I'm doing a return/repurchase for the same model laptop and I would like to know, when the new laptop comes in will i have to reclone the hdd to the ssd or can i just put the ssd in there and use it normally? Will i run into problems with someone potentially using the old hdd with the same windows product key?

You might have to reactivate Windows - but if it is identical in hardware, it should boot right up.

To be safe, I would reclone.
If you can, in fact boot with your old ssd, you should reactivate and use the coa that comes with the replacement laptop.

Would there be any danger putting the ssd into the new laptop and seeing if it works?

The worst thing that could happen are two things:
1) It doesn't boot, or locks up during the boot.
2) Windows may need to be reactivated.
