Hey everyone,

Ill start from the beginning. I made the switch from console and wanted to be part of the PC master race. of course i need a PC first. I selected my parts my self as i wanted something in med range as i am preparing for GTA V and up coming big games on PC. I searched amazon, ebay and other websites and nothing came to my taste or price range. Building it myself was the best option. My plan was to have friend of my mam's to build it but he went on holidays and won't be back until the end of August. So i was left and i have been waiting since last summer on getting a pc.

i just wanted to know if these parts will fit together.
I will link the parts to the website im getting them from.

Mobo: Asus H81M-PLUS S1150 Intel H81 DDR3 mATX
CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.20GHz S1150 6MB
GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 760 1033MHz 2GB PCI-Express 3.0 HDMI DirectCU II
Ram: Kingston 8GB (1 x 8GB) HyperX Fury Red Series 1600MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM
HD: WD 1TB Blue SATA 6GB/s 7200RPM 64MB 3.5" Hard Drive
PSU: Corsair 600W Builder Series CX Series CX 80+ Bronze ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive: LiteOn IHAS124-04 24x SATA DVDRW HH Internal Drive - Black
CPU cooler: Arctic Cooling Alpine 11 PLUS CPU Cooler for Intel 1156 / 1155 / 1150 / 775
Case: Corsair Carbide Series™ SPEC-01 RED LED Mid Tower Gaming Case

I did some research and i think they all should fit nicely, but wanted to be 100% sure before i ordered it all.

- I have Windows 8.1
- I got a monitor off my boss so that was fairly handy aswell.

okk you have a good build but i will like to do a few tweaks with it....
1. get a h87 board
2. ditch the cx series of crosair psu they are very poor...try this instead...http://www.dabs.ie/products/xfx-550w-core-edition-80--bronze-psu-8K0S.html?q=xfx%20550&src=16
3. get a 2x4gb of ram in a pair its better than a single 8gb (dual slot performs better than single)
Your build is compatible, but, I would make some changes:
1. Buy a 2 stick kit of ram so you will get dual channel operation.

2. Corsair is an ok psu, but XFX quality is better. A GTX760 only needs a 500w psu.

3. The cooler you picked will not be as good as the stock cooler that comes with your cpu.
You really do not need any more with a haswell non overclockable cpu.
4. I will never build again without a SSD for the "C" drive. It makes everything you do so much quicker.
120gb will hold the os and a handful of games. 240gb and you only need a hard drive for storing large files such as videos. You can defer on the hard drive which is easy to add later. Samsung evo is my pick.

Thanks for all the replies

I was thinking that 2X 4 is better alright, but i wanted the 1x 8 as i could add a second 1x8 in the future, or should i just stick to 1x 8 ??

thanks for the advice and support i am very nervous building this on my own :/
