Looking for a Version 1.2 MiniDisplayPort to Displayport cable.

Is C2G as good of a brand as Accell? What about StarTech? Do they use different materials etc?

Hardware:
2560 x 1440 (ASUS PB278Q)
Alienware 18 laptop, video card supports up to 3840 x 2160. (Dual GeForce GTX 880M graphics card, 2x8GB GDDR5 NVIDIA SLI)

DisplayPort is a pure digital interface. The cable either works or it doesn't t all.

Like SATA cables, there's a 'con trick' being used by vendors who will try to mis-inform you that you need a DisplayPort 1.2 cable and charge you more for it. There's no such thing as a version 1.2 cable, they are all the same and they all support 1.1 & 1.2 specifications. The only 'true' difference between DisplayPort cables is the brand and quality
