Is there so much thing as "too much wattage / voltage"? I know it would be overkill to get a 1500 watt PSU for a computer that only demands 750 for example, but if a 1500 was used to power this computer regardless, would there be problems because of the severe amount of overkill, or would it be fine?

On that note, AX series or HX series relating to Corsair?

I have a computer that demands 750 watts. I recently owned a CS750M but after sending back 3 of them via RMA, all were faulty.

So, an AX860 or a HX850 comes to mind.

Which one would be better? I have an i7 4770k, 780ti gigabyte windforce, 16gb RAM.

What do I do?

To answer your other question, there is no disadvantage to running an unnecessarily potent PSU, other than the wasted cash - however do investigate carefully as some PSUs are much more efficient at low power consumption levels than others, and this is not necessarily reflected in the Gold/ Platinum etc rating - so running a really powerful PSU and only using a small portion of the power may inflate your electricity bill
