I have a Pc with these Specs:
i5 4440 3.4Ghz quad core
Nvidia GTX660
8gbRAM
I'm running Windws 8

Recently I have had problems with my Pc slowing I can Click on the google chrome browsser and it can take aroun 20 seconds to open, also while gaming the screen will jam and will take up to 10 seconds to continue.

The only reason for this that I can think of is my 'Bullguard_cache' internet security taking 29% CPU usage in Task manager.I have 70gb of Hard drive space remaining.
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
Cameron

try clearing the temporary files.. I don't think it's a virus.. maybe your HDD is getting it.. I had a similar problem till I switched to a SSD.. honestly, my HDD was just fine till it became slow and formatting it didn't help!! switched to SSD and the HDD is just a storage device..

Scan your PC with an antivirus.

Hi OP,

As our tomshardware folks quoted above, it's recommended to scan your system at first place.

Here are some quick tips on how to remove the pestering virus from your machine -

1) Download and Install Free Version of Avast -

http://www.avast.com/

2) Download Trial Version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Install.

https://www.malwarebytes.org/

3) Some PUPs and harmful data could still bug you even though antivirus and antimalware softwares show positive results in full system scan. Download this .exe file and scan your system (no installation required)

I use the same tool that saved my computer where traditional antivirus betrayed me.

Hope it helped.
