half-length pci slot

Solution
OK. That appears to be a full length PCIe x16 slot. It is just half-wired. i.e. an x8 slot electrically. So any x16 card will fit. It will just run at a slightly reduced performance with only 8 lanes available instead of 16. But at the price range of cards you are looking at, the missing 8 lanes won't matter.

Yes, those cards will be the max you'll find at that price range. Include in that, the GT 640. But at 1280x1084, they should perform acceptably.

Yes, the HD 7750 can run on a GOOD 300W PSU. What are your +12V specs for the PSU? The GTX 750 Ti that Galaxy sells is also low profile and is faster than the HD 7750. But it only comes in PCIe X16 full length. I cannot seem to find a half-length PCI Express slot listed. Do you mean a PCIe x8 slot? Can you post a pic of your motherboard/slots?

First sorry for the late replay , i was reading a book :D
heres how it looks http://www.channelinsider.com/imagesvr_ce/channelinsider/images/slide/221479_4.jpg
and the psu i think it is a no name psu so a bad model , im thinking of change it but i think it is a special made psu
i have only a budget of 100$ so the gtx750 is too much for me
i will not play games at ultra in this pc and the max res will be 1280x1024 so im still try to decide btw the r7 250 or gt730
with gt730 i don't need to change psu so it will cost less

i saw in a review in this site that the gt730 GDDR5 version has the same perfomance as the gt640 and with a little overclock maybe it can beat it , but i dunno if my psu will let me overclock since in actual it is 280w but i can run a 300w card good there since ive have the g210 running on it for like 2 years

i can't find a 2gb version of the GDDR5 version , i can if i go down to ddr3 but that will make the bandwith 4times lower so way slower than the 1gb version of what im getting , if i know it right the vram is most used when u add more detail to the game , i will only play at mid res or high if i can in a 1280x1024 resolution so i don't think it will need that much vram , i will also use the gpu for 3d but someone here told me that the vram matters only when you render in 3d not in the actual viewport

I'm not knowledgeable enough about 3D to make an intelligent comment. So I will leave that for others. But you are probably correct about not needing more than 1GB of VRAM at that resolution, especially at med settings. 720p is right at that break point where 2GB can be of some benefit in some games. So your rez is right in that category. Did I ever ask what processor you have? How much system memory?

ive postes the link to my pc specs at the top but anyway here they are
intel core 2 duo E6550 2.33ghz (i know i know it sucks as a cpu but for now i don't have the money to change it) i hope it does not bottleneck the gpu but someone here told me it will not sicne it is a low profile gpu
5 gb ram ddr2
i don't think the hdd matter but is is a toshiba 1tb i think

That link was just general specs. So I wasn't sure what you actually had. Yeah, that dual core should be fine with those cards. I wouldn't worry about bottle neck until you get into the cards that require 6/8 pin aux power support. The GTX 750/750 Ti would be the exception. That card is in the R7-265 class.

Btw, low profile has nothing to do with bottle neck. It is just that most people associate L-P with weak cards.

im getting this card only to have a little more room for my learning in 3d modeling
after that im thinking of building a new pc since this one is way to old
the mobo does not even have ddr3 so it is not worth keeping
anyways thanks for the help and have a good day
