I just got a new computer and I'm pulling a bit of a Frankenstein job by moving my power supply and my video card over from my previous computer.

Anyway, my issue is that when I install my video card and connect my monitor to the DVI port then I just get a blank screen when I turn on my PC. However, if I remove the video card and connect my monitor to the port for the motherboard it works just fine. The video card itself has nothing for the power supply to be connected to so I know it's not that.

I've heard that I need to change my primary display from onboard to PCI-E in the BIOS menu. I've managed to access BIOS but I'm wondering where I would find the option that will allow me to do this. I didn't have to do this with my previous computer so I'm a little wary of doing anything that might cause damage. I've used computers for a while but I'm definitely a newbie when it comes to things like this.

Intel i5-4460
Corsair TX650
Sapphire HD 7750
8GB DDR3 Memory
Acer Aspire TC-605 (LGA1150) motherboard
Windows 8.1 64-bit

I know. I'm trying to figure out how to do that. I've never messed around in BIOS before and I don't want to accidentally do something I shouldn't.

I found the Advanced Chipset configuration but there was no Northbridge or Southbridge. What I did find was Intel EIST, Intel Turbo Boost, Intel XD Bit, Intel VT, and Video Memory Size.

Sorry, I'm afraid I can't find anything like that.

Edit: I looked up the make and model of my motherboard and someone suggested turning Secure Boot off and switching Launch CSM to Always. Would this be adviseable?
