Hey guys, new here in tom's hardware and wanted to ask the opinion of more experienced people on this matter. I've got what I thought was algae and cleaned everything using vinegar, boiling distilled water and a tooth brush. ( was originally running distilled water and a silver coil, nothing else).
After cleaning everything and getting the new tubes back in, I decided to run PT Nuke and distilled water, which seemed to work for about 3 months. Now I looked at the tubing again, and it's getting a feint coloring, with what seems to be sign of either algae or some fungus growing in the pc again.
Just looking for any input on this matter and idea's of what I should do. Thanks guys!

Are you using .999 silver? Lower purity silver is not as effective and can sometimes contain metals that you don't want in your system.

You might not be using enough. Depending on your climate and where the case is (sun/no sun) you might be more susceptible to algae blooms. You can either buy more coils, or try silver plated barbs or rods. You can even buy .999 silver from the jeweller, you just want maximum surface area and something heavy enough or large enough that it won't get sucked through your tubes. The longer the silver is in the water, the stronger the anti-biocide effect becomes.

Are all your water blocks the same metal? Sometimes if you have different metals in your water blocks they can have a corrosive effect and you need to add an anti-corrosive.
