Hey guys! I have a Dell Inspiron laptop, and whenever i start it up, log in to it, it starts to be really buggy and the whole laptop screen stops responding. I am forced to restart it all the time and it never works. I even tried to do a system restore and it failed, twice! PLEASE HELP ME ASAP this is been going on for months.

Can you dumb it down a little more for me please? Its a little confusing.

Double click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop, right click on the c drive there and goto properties in the menu. A new window will pop up. Click on the "Tools" tab and select "error checking" there.

Okay so after that what next? I just did the error checking after restarting my laptop. what next?
Update: a lot of this arent responding still, like the bottom of the screen where the start button is.

The error checking didn't change anything? It fixed nothing?
Take a look in event viewer: Just click start and search for "event viewer" from the search field. Any recurring error message, like timeouts or i/o errors?

I cant even do that right now, its all that white screen and not responding. id have to shut off the laptop and put it in safe mode to look at it.

From all the checks we did in the administrative events theres 38,255 events that are all errors. A lot of the ids are 7001 but also other numbers. the source says service? the dates start from april - now.

I think you need professional help now. A dead harddrive can not be fixed, it needs to be replaced.

How much would that cost?
