Pc Specs: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/cN2Z99
My question:
Does the Evga psu above support the C7 and C9 Power modes in the i5-4690k? (Haswell cpus)
Also is it "NECESSARY" to have these modes supported?

Sorry if its the wrong section i wasnt sure weather it should go in cpus.

Yes.

EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2 Power Supply/220-G2-0850-XR
Ready for 4th Generation Intel Core Processors (C6/C7 Idle Mode)

It isn't anything to panic about though. It just relates to the low power consumption of the CPU when your PC is idle, some power supplies cant handle the low power draw. However this has been taken into consideration that most people don't have a Haswell ready PSU, so most motherboards now have this Haswell C6/C7 power saving setting disabled by default. Or If not you can disable it in BIOS yourself.

You can read about the benefits of it here:

By the way, you know you have picked the i5-4690 & not the i5-4690K in your list right ?
