Hello, am planning to do a vga upgrade so i wanted to ask which one is better (mainly gaming):
Powercolor r9 290 pcs+ or Sapphire r9 290 tri-x ? Btw powercolor on my loc is 20€ cheaper. Also is powercolor a good brand ? I know that sapphire is producing mainly amd ati cards and there's plenty of reviews about tri-x compared to powercolor pcs+...

Powercolor are a value brand, they are okay if your on a tight budget, but they would be down the list for me. Sapphire would be near the top of the list though, they are to AMD(ATI) what EVGA are to Nvidia.

The Tri-X is one of the best non-reference cards you can buy. I'd go with that one.

Make sure your PSU can handle it & case is big enough, these are beastly cards.

R9 290 requires 31 Amps on the 12v rail & a 550W PSU minimum

Powercolor is usually known for their low price. Really no difference other than the fact that the Sapphire has higher stock speeds and better cooler. You could always OC the Powercolor to Sapphire speeds as well.
EDIt: You could always OC the Sapphire to Powercolo speeds, misread info.

Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X 957 MHz Core Clock / 1250 MHz memory clock

Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X OC 1000 MHz Core Clock /1300 MHz memory clock

Powercolor r9 290 pcs+ 1040MHz Core Clock / 1350MHz memory clock

The Powercolor is overclocked faster out the box, if that makes any difference to you i.e if your an overclocker or not.

The Powercolor card is taller, while the Sapphire card is longer.
PCS+ : 3 slot cooler
Tr-X: 2.2 slot cooler

PCS+: 10.5" long
Tri-X: 12" long

Damn 3 slots anyway i don't planning doing crossfire but damn that thing is big... plus has a backplate which looks good i also heard can be used as heatspreader but meh how many degrees can save 1 maybe 2 ?
Well i'll go with sapphire i think is the best choice in terms of quality (hope that +20€ is worth).
Thank you all for your answers.
