Motherboard is lighting up different error led's at boot, sometimes Pre-post sometimes after. All LEDs have lit up at least once, on separate occasions of course. There is no pattern to which lights up. I initially thought it was a psu issue so I got a 1000w (old was 750w) but problem persists. Has this been a mobo issue all along? Anyway to test without another motherboard? Any other suggestions as to what it may be?
I should mention that first r9 290 I got had to be sent back because temps were way too high (even for r9) and is also the reason for the h100i.

Did this all start after you have got your new R9 290? If so that's the problem. Also check that the motherboard isn't touching the case anywhere and is only on the standoffs. Take out one stick of RAM and try it in either slot and see if that helps.

Alright, I tried the ram, made sure mobo isn't touching and no dice. I notice when I attempt boot after hard shutdown, I will get a post beep but DRAM led and VGA led will blink one after another about three times(d,v,d,v,d,v) and at final light, VGA will stay solid. Then when I hit restart button on case, CPU led will stay lit with no post beep. Should I just ram mobo AND gpu? Or can you pinpoint?

Again, did this all start when you got your new R9 290? Are you able to boot into Windows or are you getting stuck at POST? Are you able to get into the BIOS? Need more information to what is actually going on.

It did start after receiving new 290, but it would actually boot and when id go online and say, an ad on yahoo would start playing, or a video on youtube would start, is when it would crash. Thats why I thought it was as well.. im def going to rma card, but should I also rma mobo?
I think that first 290 may have damaged with high heat. It was pushing 88c sometimes!

And im stuck at post, no bios access. It seems like problem got worse even after crashes. I used to be able to get to bios even if it was only for a few minutes before crash. And I mentioned I used to get to windows even before that.

If youre stuck at POST and it all started with the new video card, I think youve found your suspect otherwise that would be one heck of a coincidence. RMA it and see what happens.

If youre having heat issues, you might want to open up your case and clean out the dust and maybe invest in some case fans if you dont have many. Might be something else wrong if youre constantly having GPU heat issues. AMD cards are definitely hot running compared to Nvidia cards but they shouldnt be getting so hot that theyre damaging stuff. Give your case a once over and see if you can improve airflow and cooling in there as well.
