Fairly new to this so I need some help.

Recently I bought a AMD FX 6300 3.5ghz CPU. Right now I have a m68mt-s2p rev 3.0 Mother board. I didnt know there were 2 different versions of this mobo and the 3.0 doesn't support the CPU I bought. I can not return the CPU, so I figured I would get a new mother board.

I use Gskill ripjaw (2x4) RAM. I do not know what other information I would need when buying a new mobo. I would like to stay in the 75-150$ range. I planned on getting a ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+, but I read that they have problems with Gskill RAM.

Any suggestions and feedback are GREATLY appreciated. ( I use my PC for gaming )

The asrock will do fine with your GSKill RAM. Would consider looking at the mobo I posted too. You'll get better OCing from it than the AsRock, but the AsRock will do if you don't plan to OC and such.

This is a great mobo that fits in the lower end of your budget. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128651&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
Will overclock well too and good upgradabillity. You can even crossfire in the future.
