Just pieced together my new build (http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2216029/review-budget-build-500.html). First time building my own pc.
put everything together and it will not start up. I disassembled, and tried to run a few tests per newegg's assembly video, i put my processor on mobo, my gfx card and memory, then plugged everything in. 24pin connecter, motherboard power and gfx power. Tried to short the power switch and my fans started up for 1 sec then shut down. Tried to short again and nothing.
I tested the PSU by putting a paperclip in the green wire/black wire and turning it on and it started right up. Returned the mobo for an identical one, tried the same test build, and nothing again.
Not sure what to do next other than bring it to a pc repair shop.
