i just want to know everything fits a d are compatible. no need for you guys to say you should get this or that. just let me know everything will work :D

psu: xfx 550w 80+ bronze
cpu: i5 4670k
gpu: Asus r9 280
mobo: MSI b85-g43 1150
dvd writer: LiteOn Dvd writer iHas 324
case: Corsair spec-01
1tb seagate barracuda 7200rpm 3.5"
ram: 8gb g.skill ripjaws

It's all compatible.

But you won't be able to overclock your CPU with the multiplier on that motherboard.

Get that motherboard instead so you can overclock. It only costs $5 more.

Either get the B85 motherboard and a 4670 non "K" version (or better yet a i5 4440), or get the 4670K and a Z87 motherboard. Otherwise you are throwing money away.

Otherwise the build looks fine, but I would recommend a 650W minimum PSU if you ever want to put a high quality graphics card in it.

I'm not sure about that motherboard. When it was on new egg it got bad reviews 37% of the time. And looking on Amazon you can see that it got a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.
