Hey guys, on some months I'll build a PC (The max I can pay is $1700 dollars) and I would love to play all the 2014 and 2015 games at the max framerate at 720p or 1080p. I don't know if what I choose is OK, so I would love to hear you opinion :) .

Corsair CX Series 750 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Bronze ATX12V/EPS12V 744 Power Supply CX750M

Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB 2x8GB DDR3 2400MHz PC3 19200

ASUS ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 Motherboards MAXIMUS VI FORMULA (I am between the Formula or the Extreme)

CM Storm Stryker

Intel Core i5-4670K Quad-Core Desktop Processor 3.4 GHZ 6 MB Cache

ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 GeForce GTX760 2GB GDDR5 256-bit (2 of them, I will run them in SLI)

Seagate Desktop 3 TB HDD SATA 6 Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 7200 RPM

Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal OEM Optical Drive

Corsair Hydro Series Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler H100i

Should I add something? Any fan, or anything? Or Should I delete something, or change it...? I dont know.
Thanks to all of you and hope you help me :)

get this evga 780 instead of the two 760's. Firstly, two cards put off way more heat than one, so with one more powerful card, your system will be cooler. As well, SLI can cause issues, so one card will be more reliable. As well, your 760 has only 2gb frame buffer, whereas the 780 has a 6gb one. Also just an FYI, even with SLI, memory doesn't stack, so having two 2gb cards doesnt equal 4gb. So get the 780. Other than that looks good. Oh, maybe get a 1tb drive and an ssd with the leftover money, unless you really really need 3tb of space. SSD's have amazing performance, and if you really dont need a lot of capacity, they are a great option.

For SLI I would go with 2 x 4GB cards. Otherwise you are stuck with games only using 2 Gigs. 2 cards do not add up the RAM. And many current games like more than 2 gig GPU RAM. Turn up eyecandy = GPU RAM usage goes up.

SLI is never the solution. http://forums.overclockersclub.com/?showtopic=197703

Even so, with one 6gb 780, you get more ram, less power consumption, less heat, less noise (2 fans vs. 4) and less glitches.

swap out the cx line of the power supply. use the newer gold power supply that haswell rated or

if your buying your parts try to hold off till near the end off the year. then buy a z97 asus mb and the brodwell cpu. if not pick up the 4690 it has better tim paste then the 4670k and it the same price. dont do sli buy one high end gpu. (wait for the newer nvidia and amd that will be dropping near the end of the year.drp the ram to 8g and use the saving for a 250g ssd boot drive.

Unless you plan on multi screen gaming, I don't see the point of a 6 GB GTX 780. It would be best to go with a 3 or 4 GB GPU though. And to shy away from SLIing for now. A single more powerful GPU is typically better, and by the time you may need to upgrade you can either option to go SLI then or a better GPU altogether.

Drop the RAM to 4gb and save even more. Games are only 32bit programs, so they can only utilize a maximum 4gb of RAM.

But that would be under $1700?

But I also do video editing.. should I use 4 gb as well or what?

your better off buying 16g now..just buy standard 1866 ram. in the real world your not going to see diff between 1866 or 2100 ram. the newer 4690k should be the same price as the older 4670k. most of the newer intel mb run best with two dimm set up.

Yes but 16gb is really not necessary. Unless you are a server. Which you are not. For gaming and videos and stuff, 4gb is good. I have 4gb, and running Corel Video Studio Pro x7, Corel screen capture, and the elder scrolls oblivion i only use ~80-90% of my RAM, so you will be fine with 4gb. If you are running out of memory, just buy more. With the extra money, buy an SSD. You will enjoy an SSD much better than 16gb of RAM, with is literally nearly impossible to use.

Oblivion is an old game.
Windows uses 1.5 gigs. Games use 1-2 gigs mostly. You are already knocking at the 4 gb barrier, after which your harddisk will start swapping and FPS will plummet. Go with 8 gigs.

Ok, do the math, 1.5+2 is 3.5 not 4. It is close, but only actually 75% when you think about it. 75% RAM usage is pretty good. What are uyou going to do with that extra 25% of RAM anyways? Nothing. 4gb is more than enough for everybody. And if you are choosing between 8gb of RAM and an SSD, then pick the SSD

Fire up firefox, rest of your memory is gone. Now you are swapping and cursing your machine.
I only have this window open, firefox eats 350 megs of ram. Add a couple background programs that everyone has, you are hosed.

I said games use 1.5-2gigs. But sometimes they use more. 1.5 gigs is the minimum these days.

The price difference between 4 gigs and 8 is really small, maybe 20 bucks. You can't buy an SSD for 20 bucks anyway.

i did a test and running ubuntu on virtualbox with a 1.5gb ram limit, watch dogs, and corel screen capture and used near 90% of my 4gb ram. So the lesson kids is dont run virtualbox, and you will be fine
