So, I realize I must sound like the biggest noob, but hear me out. I have an i5-4570 on a z87 mobo and my cpu doesn't seem to ever turbo up to 3.6 GHz like advertised. I realize that Intel intends for this feature to be automatic, but even when I use CPU stress test software and use CPU-Z to measure my clock speed I still can't get it to change from 3.2 GHz. Is there a setting in my Bios that I need to change or am just missing something? Any help would be appreciated.
Turbo should be enabled. Power limits should be on auto. Cpu ratio should be auto or 36.
Well, I checked and I was able to find the power limits and CPU ratio. The power was set to auto and the CPU was set to 36 just like you said. I still wasn't able to find a turbo setting, though. The odd thing is, in my bios, it says that my CPU has a base clock of 3.6 GHz.
