First here is my rig:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H-BK
Memory: 2x4GB Patriot Viper Xtreme
CPU: i5-4670k @ 3.5 Ghz
Graphics Card: PNY Geforce GTX 660
PSU: Corsair 600W

The issue that I have been having since I built my computer a few days ago is that my screen would freeze when playing high end games. I am able to play games such as league of legends at max settings with no problems at all, but as soon as I start playing higher end games I start to experience problems. When loading these games I notice that the screen and audio stutter, and a few seconds after I get in game my audio and screen both completely freeze up. The interesting thing is that as soon as I ALT-TAB or CTRL-ALT-DEL the problem goes away for a few seconds and then comes back. I have checked my system temperatures, and they are nice and cool, so that is not the issue, and my graphics card drivers are all up to date. Also, I have not yet overclocked my CPU, and I don't plan to until I resolve this problem.

Update: I just played Watch Dogs on ultra for about 30 minutes with no problems. The two games I was having problems with were Serious Sam 3: BFE and Loadout.
