Will 1333 and 1600 speed RAM work together? How to optimize them?

I have AM3 Gigabyte Mother board with 4 RAM Slots, I have filled in this order:
Slot #1: 2GB 1333 MHz
Slot #2: NA
Slot #3: 4GB 1600 MHz
Slot #4: 2GB 1333 MHz

I can see my PC shows 8GB RAM but in Task Manager, the speed is shown as 1333 only, can anything be done to speed this up?

0You could try to OC to 1600, maybe at 9-9-9-27, 2T, DRAM voltage 1.56 and rais the CPU/NB voltage to about 1.25 to start, would help to know CPU and the model numbers of the sticks

Sorry man I did not understand you. Are you telling me to change the RAM to different slots?

Well, what mobo do you have? CPU? Your Mono/CPU might not be compatible with 1600mhz RAM and may have underclocked it. ANd to expalin what Tradesman is saying, he's telling you to overclock the 1333mhz stick to 1600mhz speeed. Basically means to modify the settings to make it go faster.
