Hi all,

I'm looking to build a gaming PC for ~$700. Right now I'm looking at this build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/B6dzhM.

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($118.98 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M LX PLUS Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($44.99 @ Micro Center)
Memory: Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($79.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($47.99 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 270X 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card ($184.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: Rosewill FBM-01 MicroATX Mini Tower Case ($23.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($55.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer ($14.99 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($89.98 @ OutletPC)
Wireless Network Adapter: Rosewill RNX-N250PCe 802.11b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter ($18.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $680.85

But I have some questions:
1. Will the lack of USB 3.0 ports limit me or be an issue?
2. Should I lower some other components for an SSD on top of the HDD?
3. Is that HDD the right one? If I were to upgrade, what should I get?
4. Should I stick a wireless card in a PCI-e x1 slot, a regular PCI slot, or USB?
5. Overall, does this look like the right build? If not, what would you change? I like the fact that it is a fairly small form factor.

Thanks in advance!

Solution
1. As time goes on you'll want to use usb3.0 more and more for high speed data transfer from usb sticks or external drives. eg movies
2. No. Buy an SSD later.
3. 500gb might be ok for you. I've got a 2tb and its 3/4 full.
4. pcie wireless is cheaper (eg Asus N15) and has better antennae
5. Its as good as you can do with your budget. If you had more $ you should certainly get a bigger case, an fx 8350 and a gigabyte 990fx ud3 mobo
