Does SLMGR -REARM command reset upon reinstallation? (Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 OEM)

I have been using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1, for a while now, without activating. I've been using the long-used Slmgr -rearm trick to delay buying my own product key (trying to save money), but now I have ran out of -rearms. Consequently, I have two questions:

If I reformat and reinstall my OS all together, would I be able to do another round of Rearming?

My other question is, if not, then where can I purchase a digital download of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1? I have searched Microsoft official site, newegg, and amazon... and I cannot find a DIGITAL download for the life of me. Does Microsoft even sell straight Product Keys?

  1. For Win 7, they no longer sell 'just the key', nor a digital download.

Amazon or Newegg, you could have it tomorrow.

... and to answer your first question - yes, the clock starts from your installation date.
