Solution
The R9 290 does have a blackscreen issue and there are a lot of people who have reported the issue, however there is no conclusive deduction as to the specific reason for the problem. Some claim electricity fluctuations due to bad PSU, some claim temperature to be the culprit as this card runs hot and might have a problem if you live in a tropical country, some claim driver issues.

Many people who have had this issue reported that using a secondary PCI power connector, instead of the 1 cable which splits into 2 PCI 6 pin connectors solved the issue for them. But you are right, the bug does exist, and I personally wouldn't really opt for this card if I was aware of this issue beforehand. Time is short as it is, the last thing we want...

What exactly is your question? You just purchased something off an online store and felt the need to ask people how to solve potentially impending problems that don't currently exist?
