Aye Siwmae!
Hi all. As my first post on TH, I'd like to ask if this budget setup will suffice for games like Skyrim, Dark souls, Team Fortress 2 on medium to high. How good (or bad!) will the rig run these types of games. I am not looking for something to play Crysis 3 on OMG TOO MUCH GWAPHIX, MY EYES TEHY HURT settings. Just a PC that can run most current games on medium-high well. I don't really care about FPS as long as it doesn't hit below 25-30ish.

CPU - AMD FX-4300
Motherboard - ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS AM3+
Video Card - MSI Radeon HD 7770
RAM - Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB
HDD - Seagate Barracuda 500 GB
Case - Rosewill Dual Fans
Power Supply - Antec VP-450
Optical Drive – Samsung 24x SATA DVD RW

I'm scared of spending 800+ on a PC build on my first try.

Much appreciated!

Solution
Yeah that'll do well. I'd change the CPU to an fx 6300 just because its better. 8 gb of RAM if you can, but 4 gb is ok for gaming. Also I don't know if this is included/you already have one, but you need an OS. Something like windows 7 or 8/8.1

Not an overclocking build, but better gaming performance.

Aye! Thank you for responding! I am indeed planning to purchase either Windows 7 or 8 but I can't decide which. I hear 8 has some weird issues and that 7 is the superior, but still.

Well they fixed those issues in 8.1, so basically it comes down to what you prefer as windows 8.1 has like a tileset, trying to make it look like a phone. There is retro for this. And then there good old windows 7 which most people using windows should be familiar with.
