BSOD Help Windows 7

Dear Friends,

Please help me? My PC keeps getting the BSOD. I keep seeing STOP 0x0000000A and ndis.sys as being the culprit most of the time. I have no idea what to do. I used BlueScreenView to get the following info on my crashes. Occasionally, my PC freezes with red dots all over the screen, as well.

it is a usb device, the driver and usb device is associated with each USB port. You will want to make windows display hidden (unplugged) usb devices and remove them. Now, you need to disable the plug n plays automatatic install of drivers via control panel, remove the old driver and install the new driver, then re enable the atuomatic install of drivers via control panel.

your USB adapter was just a plastic wrapper around Ralink Technology Corp. chips, ralink makes the actual driver. Ralink does not exist anymore, they were bought by mediakek.

the only drivers updated drivers would come from them. (if they bother to update for such a cheap product ($15))

you may also find that you have several different drivers installed on your machine for the same device but you need to have windows select the correct one. it is kind of stupid but you can have a different driver selected depending on which usb port you have the device plugged into. I think you could use usbview to see what you have but it as been years since i have used it.

I think you could use usbview to see what you have but it as been years since i have used it.

I think I fixed the problem.

In my frustration I unplugged all the USB devices on my PC. That includes an Apple Keyboard, an 8 gig Flashdisk and the offending Buffalo WLI-UC-GNHP Wifi Adapter.

I replaced the keyboard with my old PS2 type and restarted my PC.

I let my PC idle for a few minutes and I noticed that the my PC wasn't crashing anymore like it usually did.

I replugged the Wifi Adapter and I was able to use my PC BSOD-free!

Not wanting to take chances since I think drivers were to blame for the crashes, I used a driver update program and it told me my Intel Chipset drivers were outdated, specifically those having to do with USBs.

I updated those and voila, I haven't had a problem since.

I hope this experience helps other people! And thank you guys for helping me through it!

Oh dear, nope! The problem is back again, and this time the wifi adapter is the only thing I plug on my PC via usb! Whocrashed reports it as still ucgnstax.sys which is the driver for the said wifi adapter! Perhaps it is time to buy a new more up to date one? What do you guys suggest?

just be sure you update your chipset drivers for your CPU type. and if you are using a 3.0 usb third party driver update it as well.

you can google if you have AMD or need a 3rd party USB driver

you could give a look at some tp-link one they have pci one if this is a tower or usb for laptop .
