I've been looking through the internet and am having trouble finding specs on this board.

Apparently, PALIT's site is down at the moment too.

Can anyone give me a list of supported CPU's and RAM types?

I managed to find one for sale from China or Japan and it listed the RAM as DDR2 but also said PC2-6400 800MHz. Is this correct?

It's currently got a Athlon X2 Dual Core 5200+ 2.70Ghz. Can I go better than that?

The AM2 Socket will support the following which are faster than the one I currently have:

Athlon 64 X2 5400+
Athlon 64 X2 5400+ Black Edition
Athlon 64 X2 5600+
Athlon 64 X2 5800+
Athlon 64 X2 6000+

It seems like the last one is the most I would be able to put into this system, as it can't support any Phenoms as it's AM2, not AM2+.

Just would like to know what people think and if this would actually give me a performance boost or not.

That 6000+ was incredibly expensive at the time they were new . It was the fastest desktop processor available thrashing everything intel tried to throw at it .
They will be very rare .

What you have is very good for its era anyway . But of course compare it to a 2014 processor and its good enough to read email
