I recently purchased a GTX 760 graphics card. My problem is the pc recognizes the card but I get a windows error code 43 this hardware has a problem and has been disabled. If I update the graphics driver I then get a startup repair screen and with a system restore can get back into windows? My question I guess would be is the power supply inadequate for this setup? My specs are as follows
Case - CoolerMaster Elite 241 with 550w PSU
Processor - I5 4570
Memory - 8GB patriot viper xtreme
HardDrive - 500GB WD blue
Mother Board - Gigabyte H87-D3H
DVD rw drive

You only need 500W. But psu's included in cases are crap/cheap. So it could be the psu. Or it could be the card itself.

Is the card locked into the pcie slot nearest the cpu?

Are both power supply connectors properly connected?

Have you done a clean driver installation? (got rid of the old ones)

Does your integrated graphics work?

Go thru Control Pane, Device Manager and see whether it says the 760 is working properly and that it's drivers are up to date.

Yes the card is locked into the a lot closest to the CPU. Both fans are running as well.
Both connectors are connected.
Clean install from CD drivers and from downloaded drivers.
Integrated seems to be working and in control panel it does say drivers are up to date. I have also tried the update driver from control panel to no avail.

Ok I was thinking first replace the PSU sure that wouldn't hurt. Any recommendations? I was looking at 750w maybe overkill? Then if that has doesn't work trying a different card.
