OK, So I got my laptop a couple years ago and when i first set it up it asked for my user name. Well, I was younger and decided to give it a ridiculous name, Ninjakid. So a little while ago I tried changing the User name but after countless tries and frustrating hours I found myself making a new User account named Matthew(my name). So my problem is that I don't have the Ninjakid User anymore but I still have the Ninjakid User folder. And all my AppData from software and such is stored in that folder, not my Matthew User folder. So to sum things up my computer acts like Ninjakid is the main user and makes it to where that's the first user it sends stuff too. But I deleted the User and made my Matthew User administrator and all of that. It wouldn't let me delete the Ninjakid User folder last time I tried so now I have all my AppData in that folder. So is their a way to transfer all the folders from my Ninjakid User folder to my Matthew User folder without worrying about messing up any software/games that have their AppData dedicated to the Ninjakid User folder? and is their a way to delete the Ninjakid User permanently and make my Matthew User the main User? Sorry for the long paragraph, I just want help so I figured you all would need the details. BTW I'm using a Sony VAIO Laptop with Windows 7. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK!!!

And you made a new user named Matthew, but everything is still going to the Ninjakid folder? Honestly, the only way to change that would be to edit the registry, but that would be buggy at best and goes way beyond my level of expertise. The easiest way to fix this would be to back up all of your data and do a clean install of Windows.

How do you back up everything? And wouldn't reinstalling Windows make me reinstall every software/game I have???

Ok, but what about just renaming the NinjaKid user, instead of trying to move everything from one user to another?

You can try this, but if the link is agains a rules and an admin notices, please remove it:

Let us know what you managed to do.

Manually copy all of your files to an external hard drive. Some games (at least those from Steam and Origin) can be moved without installing them again. This would be a bit complicated though, but as I said, this goes beyond my level of expertise. Sorry I couldn't come up with a good solution :(

OK well if I rename it is their a way where I can make an User account that the folder is dedicated to? Like my Matthew User account has a Matthew User folder so is their a way to rename the Ninjakid folder and make a user that it's dedicated to?

I`m not sure what you mean by that.
The thing is, if you say that you have all your stuff on the NinjaKid account, and the only problem for you is the name of the User, than just rename it.
You can delete the other user that you have as Matthew, and rename NinjaKid to Matthew.
Sorry, I`m feeling a bit sick today, so if you want to do something else than this, break it down for me.

I'm sorry that this is hard to explain hahaha ok so my problem is.... I have a Ninjakid User folder but I don't have a Ninjakid User and that bothers me because it can sometimes make things take a little longer because I have to get ownership or whatever. So if you can't transfer the Ninjakid User folder files to my Matthew User folder, then here's my next question. Is there a way for me to make a new User and have the Ninjakid User folder be dedicated to it. In other words... Once you make a User you get a User folder so is there a way to make a User and make the Ninjakid User folder that User's folder?

yes I deleted it and no I don't have any problems with games/software. And no problem it's just annoying to have a User Folder that doesn't belong to a User
