R 2 GPU cards better than 1

I have the chance to get another Asus GTX 760 card 2nd hand for my system (I cant overclock it as it has a i5 3570 on an Asus P8Z77 V-pro mobo). Does a good job running all my software or would I be better off getting a better single card in the future? I have plans to build a NAS / Server soon as I now have the "builders bug" and this card will be going there eventually. are 2 cards double the frame rate ??

I'd save up for a newer card cause sli 760 won't be that better than a single 780 ti

not double, but you can get better performance. SLI gives more advantage in high resolution (higher than 1080P) but will give better performance anyway.
