As the title says, im looking to buy a second hand laptop, and right now its between the two (Note both will cost me around the same)
First:
Macbook Pro 15" Mid 2010
Intel i7 2.66 ghz
8gb ram 1033 mhz
500gb hdd

Second:
Macbook Pro 13" Late 2011
Intel i5 2.4ghzz
8GB ram 1333hz
250gb ssd and 500gb hdd

What will I be using this for: I have a custom built computer for gaming, so I will never be gaming on it, What im planning on using it for is in bed, just watching some videos but thats a minor thing, the main thing will be video editing for my youtube channel. I really like that its 15" inch, and that it got a i7.

Which one of those would be best for video rendering, editing etc?

Solution
The i5 should be fine for video editing. The SSD and the HDD are definite pluses since you would want to have the editing software on the SSD and the video assets on the HDD. The big drawback for me would be the 13" screen. That said, between the two I recommend the i5 if you think you will be fine editing on a 13" screen.

best for rendering / editing is the first option. however the second option will have better integrated graphics which might come in handy if you work with very detailed video and it also has an ssd. Personally id choose the 2nd one.
