Is this R9 290 (Gigabyte GV R929WF3-4GD) a good card for the money. Newegg is selling it for $360 (£211). Is this a good deal? : http://www.ebay.com/itm/GIGABYTE-GV-R929WF3-4GD-Radeon-...

Here is the official gigabyte page for the card: http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4...

How long will the card last at 1080p before low settings, how good is the noise/temps on this card compared to the reference R9 290 and due to the improved cooling, what kind of MHz can i get the core clock speed by overlooking?

Thanks for all the help and advice
Much appreciated
thanks

It's a great card and i prefer those 3 coolers instead amd card with one cooler. By the way overclocking might not help you now because you can play all games maxed with this gpu i mean current games. later you can OC it around 1050~ without problem i guess.

Yeah, that's pretty good for the price.
How long will it last? Long, that's all we can say for sure.
Noise and temps? Way better than with the original card (these numbers are for the OC edition, so they're a bit high):

How well can you overclock? Depends completely on your luck with the card, there's no way of telling before you try it out.

Good deal based on other brands with same GPU. Your overclocking will vary based on the exact silicon you purchase. Excellent card which will give you several years of 1080p gaming with a great deal of eye candy.

It's enough to run all the available games at ultra settings, and it will do well with the upcoming games.
