P7P55D-E LX memory issue

i have a P7P55D-E LX MOBO and Patriot Viper DDR3 1600 MHZ MEMORY 2x8gb kit. PV316G160C9K. T mobo doesnt recocnise the memory even with EZflash and a bios update. your help would be greatly apreciated

I know p55 board can run 8gb stick, I'm just not sure if they can run 1600.
Insert the old ram and manually set xmp off and set the timing manually and turn the frequency down to 1333

thank you for your response, the board can run 1600, but the manual says it is for a cpu running at 2.66Ghz.
my cpu is Intel i5 760 @ 2.8
i use cpu-z to look at all the numbers but they are confusing :p
i have updated bois but all setting are still standard, not messed with any
