my gpu is really hot

my gpu is 560 ti and when i run msi afterburn it shows that max degree when i play is about 78 when play on ultra but the gpu is really hot when i touch it and have a smell like smoke why is that and its normal?

Hello... 80C is typical with a 560/460 what is you fan speed at that Temp? Sometimes the paper stickers/glue can show browning, with use over time.
Hey your asking alot from it in ultra mode, and it's working hard to give it to you

A simple test to determine if you need better airFlow through your case, is to remove your side panel, and look at temps and fan speeds agian while gaming.

Hello.... Yes Heat is the product of all those electrons turning into a Sweet digital image ( eye candy for you )... 70% fan speed and 80c is typical for your card...
Yes, that calculates into 172.4 F... so don't put your tongue on it! : P Why do ya think they put heatsinks and fans on most the Parts??? it not just to make them look pretty or sound like your Mothers vacuum cleaner.
