As the the question says, does the Pentium G3258 unlocked 20th Anniversary Edition support 1866 memory? I've read on ark.intel that it only has a 1333 memory controller. And also has anyone tried OCing this on stock cooler? If so, how fast did it get to and at what volts?

The G3258 is not limited to 1333 MHz. You can run at 1600 or 1866 with some overclocking. I don't believe it works at stock, but I can be wrong. I haven't tested. With my setup, I have a mild overclock @ 4.4, and I managed to run 1866 fine. Not sure about higher because my RAM is only 1866.

I don't recommend you do that. You can overheat the CPU and cause quite a bit of damage. You can buy a cheap CPU cooler like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO.

@ksham
Thanks for your answer. I have a pair of 1866 Vengeance LPs that I took out of an older build and thought to use it. Btw, at what volts are you overclocking your Pentium K? Yeah, that was the first cooler I thought of purchasing :)  if it wasn't possible to OC on stock.

A bit high, but I used 1.295V. I first tried 1.275V.

@ksham
That's not so bad. I've seen others using north of 1.3V, but that's because they're overclocking at about 4.7 max. Thanks for your answers though :)  Gonna try setting this up this weekend.
