I'm running a 4770k under an H100i and ran Intel Burn Test @ 4.5ghz 1.290V and temps went up to 98 degrees off and on for about 10 minutes. Will this damage my cpu?

(I've since settled on a stable/cooler overclock of 4.4ghz 1.25v)

If you are stable - you are stable. overclocking has it's risks, which could have been mitigated if you were to step up gradually.

You should have never been over 70 degrees in my conservative opinion.

I did step up gradually, starting at 4.0ghz 1.2v and up...ended up at 4.5ghz 1.29v. The reason I posted my question is because I know the TJMax is 105, but the TCase is 72, so it's hard to tell whether a temp of 98 would damage or degrade the cpu at all even for a short time.
