sorry for my poor english i hope you guys can understand what im trying to ask.

so recently i sold my xbox , and with my savings i've got around 400usd to spent

my current build :
mobo : h55m s2v
cpu : i5 760 stock clocks with cm tx3 evo cooler
gpu : Gigabyte gtx 460 oc
ram : 2x2gb 1333mhz
soundcard : SoundBlaster Z
psu : Corsair CX 600 v1
hdd : 1TB WD Caviar Green
monitor : Samsung 22" 1080p TV
Case : VenomRX Habu v1
1 dvd rw
3 12cm nzxt fz series
1 19cm fan

my current build is almost 4years old
and only capable to run today's tittle game with high option and some medium to get playable 50 - 60 fps.
so i want to ask for some advice what should i get first,,
a new XFX R9 280x for about 320 usd (i live in indonesia,, so... yeah you know the price lol) or
get a new z97 mobo and 4th gen i5 processor first, or any new idea what should i buy first?

i use the PC mainly for gaming purpose and some photoshop editing.

and if i get the 280x first, can my cx600v1 run the current build? (im going to sell my 460 if i got the 280x and what should i spent on money from the 460)

Thanks.

thanks for replying , but my mobo only have 2 ram slots and newest game titles are require like 6gb of ram (ex: Watchdogs) and if i do pick the 280x will it going to run fine with my cx600v1 psu and the rest of my current build ? (the v2 have the certified things, though in my v1 manual book says it is 80+ efficiency)
cx 600 wattage

Yeah the PSU will be fine. Ok then get 2x 4Gb instead and sell your current ram.

I'll go with 280X with medium OC out of the box, remember to check the power requirement i.e Sapphire Toxic needs 750 Watt (and remembering your PSU aging). Throw a new pair of DDR3 sticks also a good idea, remembering this day 8GB is a standard (IMO). Also, I'm Indonesian. :)

thanks for the reply, just want to ask,, recently search google that lot of r9 series including 280x suffered from artifacting , flickers and square dot problem,,
just thinking to go to the green side and pick the gtx 760,
but im confused what gtx 760 should i pick, the gigabyte one have a lots of rev,, the 2gb Rev 1.0 use the same fan like the gtx 680 one,, (windforce 3x triangle cool)
the rev 2.0 just more like a cost cutting strategy by giving the 760 a good look,, the heatsink on the rev 2.0 itself just standard windforce 3x not the 450w heatsink cooler,,, (the rev 1 had 3 heatpipes, rev 2 only got 2 heatpipes)
the 4GB version have a lots of rev too.. rev 2 only had 6 powerphase, rev 2.1 8 powerphase, but the heatsink on the 4GB version i same with one that came with the 780, aka windforce 3x triangle cool with 5 heatsink CMIIW.
or should i go with the MSI 760 HAWK one? highest factory overclock 760 ( i dont plan to do an overclock) had 8 powerphase, backplate, 5 nickel plated copper heatpipes, vram heatsink and two powerlogic 10cm fan, the GB use evercool 8cm fan CMIIW.
or should i wait for the 800 series to come ,, .____. really want the XFX 280x DD though.. but reading all the complaints about the artifacting, screen flickers make me go like em.... better to stay with the green side

and about ram,, can my i5 760 and h55m s2v handle this ram ?

sorry for my messed up english and ultra long msg

I use Asus 280X Direct CU II Top for almost 4-5 months, never had any issue. Either Green side or Red side always has a problem, because there's rarely two identical card wil perform the same. More powerphase is added to preOC card to add more stability, IMO, I'll go with the MSI Hawk in terms of more clock speed out of the box and the silence the twin frozr has made so far. Pick one with confidence after considering the warranty and after sales in Indonesia, in case something happen. After pick any card, never comparing to the other card, because you'll start over and over again. For the last question, what ram did you ask?
