how far can i oc fx 8320 on asus m5a78lm/usb3 with hyper 212 cooling and custom heatsink on vrm with fan blowing over vrm hs .i dont want to increase vltg as it will lead to increased pressure on vrm how far i can oc with stock voltage
i know that m5a78lm/usb3 is not a very good option for oc 8 core beast but i was very tight on budget and found asus to be best for my price range so pls dont tell me to buy new mobo i will use it mostly for gaming with cm thunder 450 w psu
so should i oc or avoid it fully?????

The VRM has no heatsink so yeah, stay in stock voltage.

4.0-4.3GHz may be possible. It is going to vary depending on how stable you can get it on stock volts. Check your VRM temps under load. Start low and gradually work your way up.

I also suggest you add something like these to your VRM:

Make sure you get a kit that is the right size to cover each MOSFET. But enough to do all the MOSFETs for your VRU. Clean the surface with alcohol before sticking them on. The thermal tape on these is pretty good.

Overall, you are right to be cautious as this is not a good OC board.
