Slow file transfer speed in internal hdd & when downloading large size torrents ;other files present on the drive opens slowly

I have 2 Hard disk drives.1st one is 500 gb(os is installed on it) another one is 2 tb.Both are seagate.
Problem is with the 2tb hdd.2tb hdd is patitioned in 3 parts.when transferring file between the partitioned drives from one to another the transfer rate starts at 80 mbps and then gets reduced to 10 mbps.
When downloading big sized torrent files on the drive it gets very slow. The other files present on the drive gets very slow to open and runs very slowly(specially video files they become unwatchable). It's a new drive. It has no smart error.I am using windows 7 sp1 64 bit.
Wondering whats causing these problems. It's kinda frustrating.please help....

  1. defrag your drive and check for badsectors...
  2. i defraged it no bad sectors are present in it
  3. scan your pc with an updated antivirus
  4. make sure AHCI is enabled in the BIOS..
    Startup "Regedit
    Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / CurrentControlset / Services
    Open msahci
In the right field left click on "start" and go to Modify
In the value Data field enter "0" and click "ok"
    exit "Regedit"
reboot and enable AHCI in bios.

also try with a different sata cable....
