I have mistakenly installed Windows 7 64 bit on hardware that was not equipped to run it. Once I realized the mistake I then made an Windows easy transfer file in 64 bit and reinstalled the 32 bit version of windows. Now my Windows transfer file does not work as it says that 32 bit cannot open 64bit  . Is there any way at all to use the file as all my stuff is saved on there!:(

Solution

No. Windows Easy Transfer does not support (by design) transfer from 64-bit to 32-bit. The only way to access your files is to restore to a 64-bit system.
Did windows install all the way? You wouldn't even be able to get to the point to install windows if it couldn't take 64 bit and unless its a really old Pentium 4 or AMD it will support 64 bit. Pretty much every Intel CPU since like 2005/2006 can do 64 bit minus some of the Atom CPU's

Actually, some Pentium 4's do support 64 bit. Although I do agree, there can't be a significant issue if Windows installed correctly.

I said really old Pentium 4's lol I know the Socket 775 ones do but the 478 socket does not.
