Is it Possible That My Computer Survived a Sudden Power Outage? What Should I do to Prevent This Again?

So last night I was stretching my feet under my desk and I accidentaly unplugged my computer. It shut off abruptly, as one would assume it would. When I rebooted I did a CPU test and Memtest, as well as a file system integrity check. Everything passed. The Operating System doesn't really matter, for I have faith in ext4, and if I really have to reinstall, I really don't mind. Anyway, I was just wondering how much potential damage could this have caused. My PSU is quite good (I own the Corsair RM Series 1000 Watt 80Plus Gold-Certified PSU), and I was wondering if this could have stopped any real damage. Also, I was using an SSD at the time of the shut-off, so that minimized the risk of damaging any moving HDD components, for it wasn't even mounted. I have never unplugged the computer this way, as I always properly shut it down from the CLI. Can someone please suggest a way to prevent this from occuring again if there was a real power outage, and would you think my computer will remain in good condition after this incident? I can provide more specs if needed. Anyways, your response is very welcome.

It is very unlikely that disconnecting your power abruptly will cause component damage. Hard drives have safety mechanism to prevent damage and there should be no voltage spikes or other issues. As you noted - some file corruption might have happened, but there are mechanisms to prevent that and backup helps.

Short of cutting your feet and legs off, I suggest you perhaps position some protective cover over the outlet?
Only damage power outage can cause is OS/data corruption. Even HDDs are perfectly fine, so long as you don't give them a ridiculous number of power cycles.

It's pretty hard to cause hardware damage through lack of power.

No need to shut down through command line either; it's fine to use the GUI buttons.
