Hi, i am planning on upgrading my old computer to an actual graphics card since the computer comes stocked with a integrated graphics card. I want to upgrade it to a Amd XFX Radeon HD 6450 2gb DDR3, i am not a hardcore gamer or anything so this card is perfect for me but ive been starting to wonder if the power supply (250w) can handle this. I have been searching everywhere but i cant find my answer.
Btw the integrated graphics it came with is a nVidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

Other specs include:
CPU:Amd Athlon X2 215 2.7GHZ Dual core
MOBO: Pegatron M2N68-LA (Narra5)
Ram:4 GB
HDD:500GB
Moniter:1600x900 20inch

So should i get a 400w or a 500w? I want to make sure that the motherboard does not get to much voltage

Hi
A good 400watt psu for one graphics card should do better than a cheaper or no name brand 500watt psu

Risk if too much current required by combination of motherboard & graphics card disks etc the psu will over heat and should shut down if a good quality brand or go pop if rubbish brand

It's 27w tdp. You can't compare others since the other specs affect power consumption. His cpu is 65w so a 250w should be fine. You should check it's 12v just to be sure. Am I right to assume that's a prebuilt hp? Then quality is decent enough.

You need to learn some grammar because right now you don't make sense

yes that will definitely work....seasonic makes some really good psu and known for its quality all over...

Ok so i just read the box of the gpu and it says it needs a minimum of a 450w psu with a 24A 12V rating but the psu i ordered only is 400w and has a 17A 12V rating, am i gonna have a problem? Will everything still work ok?
