For my new build, I'm deciding to go with a white and purple (and I guess black) color scheme. All the components are black and such, so those wont be a problem.

But, I'm buying some corsair air series fans, the ones with the changeable outer rings, The colors they come in are Blue, Red, and White.

What I'm wondering is that is there some sort of method or way to re-color one of the rings purple, I really think it would make the overall build look terrific. I was considering some sort of paint, and someone told me to just 'dip them'

The rings are removable, so I wouldn't risk damaging the actual fan.

Thanks for any answers about this.

You'll want to use spray paint for that. It'll give a much thinner coating so you won't have any issues with fitting them back on once painted.
JayzTwoCents actually did a video recently where he painted the same rings for a build.
