My gpu came with 2x cables which were 2x6pin going into 1x 8 pin. In the manual it showed that I could either do that or use

My gpu came with 2x cables which were 2x6pin going into 1x 8 pin as the new gpu is a 2x8 pin. In the manual it showed that I could either do that or use 6pin+2 pin. Will this give the gpu the same power it requires. 2x 6pin+2pin instead of 4x 6pin going into supplied cables that end with a 8 pin.

You shouldn't really need to use the cables sent within the box. Your power supply should be already have these cables provided. If it doesn't then, your power supply isn't really fit for your gpu since it doesn't have the required PCIE power cables and possibly not enough power too.
For two 8 pins PCIE slots, you need two 6+2 pin PCIE cables from the psu.

As Suztera says, your PSU should have some PCI-E 6+2pin cables already attached (or in it's box if it's modular) which you can plug into your GPU. Don't worry about the cables that come with your GPU.

Which GPU and PSU are you talking about anyway?

Sorry the psu is 750w and does have 2x 6pin +2pin remaining after disconnecting old gpu and remaining connections from psu are molex or lp4 I think they calld. That was my question is it ok that I didn't use the cables that came with gpu but instead used the 2x 6pin+2pin from psu to go into the 2x 8pin on gpu.
