RAM not compatible with MB?

Hey guys!

So awhile ago I bought this ram - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104261

I am running different hyper x ram now that works but This one in particular, isn't recognized.

This is my Motherboard.

Are they not compatible or would the ram possibly be DOA?

Should be compatible it's just plain DDR3-1600. Some older CPU's might not like it though.

Also, the board can only take a maximum of 8GB RAM. Could you possibly be going over that?

So, you're saying you're trying to use two different models of RAM? Two different models of the Hyper X series? If so, it's not surprising that they don't work together.

Have you tried them in another pc to see if they are recognized?

I have not tried it else where. I just tried using them together but I used it by itself as well and it wouldn't recognize.

They are both 4gb and i have only had one in so I dont think i'd be going over.

There have been a few issues reported in these forums about issues running this type of ram. Hyper X , NOT JUST ONE VARIETY.

Stick to Gskill or Corsair.
