Hello!

I bought a new motherboard a few weeks ago because my old one was faulty, it is the same model as my previous one, in which the RAM worked fine. I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. I've tested both sticks of RAM individually and they both work in each slot.

Here are my system specs:

edit - oh, and the motherboard is a GA-H61M-SPV, whhich I believe has the latest BIOS.

Granted, not the prettiest of specs but it does its job for me.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance!

It shows 4GB - do you have what wthen 2 4GB sticks, look at the sticks, should be a label with a model number on them - or look in CPU-Z (free app) and check the SPD tab - it will list a part number of the DRAM

Hi, sorry for my late reply.

It says the part number is bkh400UD25608-1333, if that's any help?

Make sure the mobo has the latest BIOS, if they still have a problem, sart with 1 stick and set the DRAM voltage up + 0.06 from spec, save exit and shut down, then add the second stick and try
