What I have selected now, unsure on a video card. I'd like to stay around or below $200 for the gpu, and I read that a GeForce 760 or a R9 270 will be able to play at high/ultra with this rig. Also if you see any other changes that will have the same or very close performance and can save money. Please let me know.

Thanks,
Cody

I have a Sapphire Toxic R9 270X. I barely hear it unless I put the Fan speed too 100% manually.
With good case fans and some good fan control it will do it. I get minimal noise at ACBF at highest settings and a temp of 52°C at max.
Of the two, I'd go for the GTX760, it's just a little quicker but tends to run cooler and quieter, and noise is, for me, a deal breaker.
Other observations:
I'll suggest you go for a less expensive SSD/PSU/motherboard to aim higher up the pixel pushing food chain with the money saved, neither the GTX760 nor R9 270 is going to play current heavy hitters at 1080 res at ultra settings smoothly, look to the R9 280X or GTX770 as a minimum for a new gaming build with the R9 290 or GTX780 as being preferable for the long haul.

What PSU wattage should I be looking for? I don't have plans to upgrade in the immediate future, so should I drop from 750 to about 600? Any recommendations for a compatible motherboard? If I can save enough money there and be able to put it towards a better graphics card then I'm all for it. This is my first build, I am emulating a lot of my brothers last build but I toned it down a bit due to budget. And if I am able to get the R9 280 + what manufacturer do you recommend? EVGA?

Thanks

I am a bit overwhelmed with all the choices for both models out there. Any manufacturers to look for in particular?

Thanks
