This is what im gonna be putting in this case
i7-4770k/4790k
Gtx 780/780ti
2x 4gb 1600mhz crucial ram
asus z97-a
2 tb 3,5 inch hdd
mx100 ssd or samsung evo 840 250gb
I want to know how to get the optimal airflow in this case? And is it a good case?

The case is, IMHO one of the best and quietest cases out there. I have one and I have another Fractal case that's slightly smaller.

I personally don't like fans on the bottom that suck air from newr the floor, but the case does have a dust filter, so it should be less of a concern. The other issue with the bottom fan mounts is that sometimes a longer PSU blocks the mounting points - that happened to me. :(

Bit, since I don't like to use it, small loss.

I have two fans in the front, one (with my AIO radiator_ rxhasting on the back and one venting to the top. There is space for a 2nd at the top, but I don't need it and the case is cool.

I took out the Fractal fans since they are 3 pin and need the fractal fan controller that I also don't like and replaced them with 4-pin PWm fans in the Cougar Vortex line. Works like a charm.

I have a Define R3 and I love the thing as it is sitting out near my TV and is so very quiet, IMHO the R4 is a slight tweak and virtually the same case/materials.

Optimal airflow is very hard to determine without more info. Are you overclocking? Will it sit on carpet, hard floor, a desk, do you have pets that shed.

This case adds an even harder issue to figure out "optimal" airflow.
*If you are wanting to keep your hardware as cool as possible you need faster (typically very noisy) fans to move lots of air - but if going for best cooling performance a "quiet" case like the R4 isn't the right starting point.
*If you are wanting to keep the overall system noise as low as possible you need as few, typically slower (or very high cost) fans but this will raise the hardware temps.

Personally I have an i5-2500K @ 4.4GHz and a 2GB 6950 (stock speed) in my R3. For fans I have two 120mm front intake and a 120mm rear exhaust fan with all openings blocked (except the bottom ones) with the included noise-dampening foam and am very happy with the overall noise/performance ratio.

If anyone thinks my 2 in/1 out fan arrangement is unbalanced - look at the screens and restrictions on the front intakes as they will lower the performance of the front fans.
